How to Encrypt a File on my
Computer or USB/thumb Drive

Step 1:

Begin by downloading & installing (below) our recommended file encryption software Androsa FileProtector for Windows users.

INSTALLATION FILE:



** Install the program on the computer which you will use to encrypt and decrypt your file.

Step 2:

Find the file that you would like encrypted and right click it.

In the menu that appears, look for "Androsa FileProtector " and click it.

Step 3:

Androsa FileProtector will open and present this dialog box.

Create a password (10 characters MINIMUM is recommended, with a mixture of special characters and numbers) and click "Protect".

If you would like to make sure your password is typed correctly, click the "Show Password" option.

Step 4:

Androsa FileProtector will display the following dialog box which displays the status of the file. Click "Close" to continue.

Step 5:

 

Navigate back to the location of the original file. You will now see that there is an encrypted version of the original file. The original file is no longer available.
