On Sunday, February 4, at 10:00 a.m., the CIS Systems group implemented a change to the size of the "LFIOP" (Buffer flush I/O pool) nucleus parameter for the FAMIS ADABAS sub-system. The change involved increasing the size from the previous value of 25 percent of the LBP (Length Buffer Pool) to 40 percent. The process required about 15 minutes and was completed by 10:15 a.m. The modification was performed in an effort to improve database efficiency.
