Changes Scheduled for the next seven days:

C1. Starting at about midnight on Saturday, February 17, the Open Systems group is scheduled to begin populating several new fields in the people branch of the LDAP directory services application. On February 17, the following fields will be added and data subsequently added between February 17 and 21.

C2. Starting at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 17, the OpenSystems group is scheduled to update the Access Control Lists (ACLs) for the campus LDAP servers. The process is expected to take about 1 hour and should be completed by 8:30 a.m. The updates are required to remove the ACLs no longer being used.

Intermittent interruptions could be experienced for the LDAP authentication services during the maintenance period. Customers could also experience a brief period when edits to Directory Services entries will be unavailable.

C3. On Saturday, February 17 starting at 7:00 a.m. network communication in the WERC will be disrupted to perform the replacement of a network router. The process is expected to take about 5 hours and should be completed by 12:00 (noon) on February 17. All network connections (except the WERC Open Access Lab) will experience a disruption in communication during the router replacement process. The maintenance is scheduled to be performed by the CIS Network group.

C4. On Sunday, February 18, at 7:00 a.m., a reboot of the itim-feeds tamu.edu system is scheduled to be performed. The itim-feeds system supports the Student Security Awareness Training application. The reboot is required to apply a maintenance update and is scheduled to be completed by 7:05 a.m.

C5. On Sunday, February 18, starting at 7:00 a.m., the OpenSystems is scheduled to apply maintenance to the Unix shell server (oldschool.tamu.edu). The process is scheduled to take a maximum of about 3 hours and should be completed by 10:00 a.m. The maintenance involves the application of the vendor patches for daylight savings time.

C6 On Sunday, February 18, starting at 7:30 a.m., maintenance is scheduled to be performed on the batteries that support the cache for the SAN arrays that support the following customers: Evans Library, MLANS and Open Systems. The maintenance is expected to be complete by about 9:00 a.m. The maintenance will be performed by the OpenSystems group.
