On Sunday, January 28 starting at 8:00 a.m., maintenance was performed on a network router that supports network communication for a large number of systems located in the Teague Machine room. The maintenance was required to diagnose a problem with ACL for the router. The process should have been completed in approximately 20 minutes. However, a maximum period of 2 hours had been requested to allow for any complications. The maintenance was completed by 10:00 a.m. Network communication for the servers in the departments listed below were inoperative for at least 20 minutes during the maintenance period.
