Neo file system maintenance - Wednesday, February 7

On Wednesday, February 7, starting at 5:40 a.m., the Neo application was removed from production to perform maintenance on the file system. The process was performed as scheduled and was completed by 6:05 a.m.

During the maintenance period, webmail and mail clients that connect directly to neo.tamu.edu were not able to retrieve mail. Also, during this time, mail was not accepted for delivery, but was queued on the delivering server.

Original announcement

On Wednesday, February 7, starting at 6:30 a.m., Neo is scheduled to be removed from production for maintenance on the file system. The process is scheduled to require about 45 minutes and should be completed by 7:15 a.m. During the maintenance period, webmail and mail clients that connect directly to neo.tamu.edu will not be able to retrieve mail. Also, during this time, mail will not be accepted for delivery, but should queue on the delivering server.
