Reconfiguration of data and log files for the SQLPROD1 and SQLPROD2 databases - Feb 20.

On Sunday, February 20, 2005, at 10:00 a.m., the CIS Database Team performed a reconfiguration of the data and log files associated with the system and user areas of the SQLPROD1.tamu.edu and SQLPROD2.tamu.edu databases. The process required about 1 hour to perform and was completed by 11:00 a.m. The process was performed for the following reasons:

Improved performance
Leverage disk space available through the SAN
Improve backup and recovery methods
