This graph indicates the percentage of IMS-BPP transactions that were completed in these response time thresholds: Less than .5 second, from .5 to 1 second, from 1 to 2 seconds, from 2 to 4 seconds and Over 4 seconds.
The IMS-BPP application currently completes about 94.5 percent of the total number of transactions in less than .5 second. The distribution of the remaining transactions is:
5 percent from .5 to 1 second
0.08 percent from 1 to 2 seconds
0.02 percent from 2 to 4 seconds
and 0.01 percent for transactions requiring more than 4 seconds to complete. This is for a total of 418,000 transactions during April '01.
In April '00, the IMS-BPP application completed 428,466 transactions and the transaction breakdown was:
89.5 percent in less than .5 second
10.2 percent from .5 to 1 second
0.2 percent from 1 second to 2 seconds
0.02 percent from 2 to 4 seconds
and 0.02 percent required over 4 seconds to complete.
On April 30, the HR-BPP application was implemented in a CICS-ADABAS sub-system from the previous IMS DB-DC sub-systems. The new sub-system is known as CICS-BPP.
