The Central Authentication server (NetID.tamu.edu) experienced a problem on January 10. Please see CAS outage 2007 for additional information.
December 4, 2006
During the afternoon on December 3, several customers contacted the Help Desk Central concerning a problem with WebCt. The customers indicated they were unable to access the WebCt application. On December 4, further investigation determined the condition appeared to be related to load.
At about 9:10 a.m., the WebCt support staff indicated they should restart all the application servers for the WebCt application. The process was completed by about 10:25 a.m. and normal operation had been resumed. The WebCt support staff indicated between about 7:00 and about 10:25 a.m., the WebCt application was inoperative. *Keystone #187050, 187051, 187054, 187057, 187066*
Neo March 21, 2006
+ During the afternoon on Tuesday, March 21, the IMAP interface for Neo experienced several outages. The outages were short in duration.
The problem was identified to an error in the file system that was addressed on March 23. The file system maintenance was addressed during a scheduled maintenance period between 4:00 a.m. and 4:30 a.m.
January 9, 2006
@ On Monday, January 9 and Tuesday, January 10, a number of hosts that support Open Systems services had new IP addresses assigned. The condition caused some connectivity issues for customers attempting to connect to the hosts that support mail. The condition continued from late in the evening on Janaury 9 until about 11:11 a.m. on January 10.
On January 11, the mail servers again experienced a problem with the correct name resolution. The previous NIM entry was restored when the NIM reload took place at about 4:00 a.m. The condition continued until about 9:14 a.m.
